Renee is also a WPA Certified and PaddleFit Certified instructor. Renee is happy to share her knowledge and love of the sport, her enthusiasm will no doubt inspire not only the beginner but also seasoned paddler! We’re fortunate to have Renee – here are a few words from her:

I love the water! Swimming since the age of 2, I like all kinds of water sports….snorkeling, scuba diving, and stand up paddle boarding. I like to be in and on the water, but the paddle board has really given me a sport I can adjust to suite my mood. It can be a very Zen experience, a slow quiet paddle all by myself or it can be exciting, a competition to see who can go the fastest and or the farthest with as many people as possible. I have had my own paddleboard for about 3 years and just a few months ago acquired a nice race board that has really improved my speed. I started teaching others to paddleboard because it is an easy sport to master as it just takes practice, but can be a little frustrating for some people at first. If we can deliver a paddleboard and lesson at the same time, the experience is much better and another SUP lover is discovered! This is a sport that anyone that can swim can do and enjoy. Happy paddling!

Paddle Fitness Classes

Paddle boarding alone requires utilization of the deep stabilizing muscles of the core to balance on the water. Combining exercises with paddle boarding further challenges and enhances your core muscle strength. Everyone from beginners to advanced will find a comfortable and challenging position in each class.  You will also increase your fitness level through paddle technique, distance paddling and overall board comfort

Paddle Fitness Classes provides a full body workout by combining paddle boarding with an assortment of kinetic exercises such as push ups, squats, planks and roll up.  Our instructors are PaddleFit certified and will challenge your fitness levels allowing for mental and physical growth in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Beginning SUP Clinic

A PaddleFit certified instructor will introduce you to the sport of paddle boarding, starting with on land exercises and stretches.  You will learn the correct way to hold your paddle, the different paddle strokes and turns, tips on finding the correct board and safety rules.  You will have your own paddle board, paddle, PFD and whistle.  You will then move onto the water to practice with the instructor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are classes held?
Naples Gulf waters are a perfect setting for fitness training, however, there are times when it’s better for the group to meet in flat waters.  At those times we move to Naples Landings Park on Naples Bay.

What exactly is a paddle board? Won’t I fall off?
A paddle board is similar to a surf board, only MUCH larger. Our boards are 12′ long and 32″ wide and are very stable. Will you fall off? You might. But, you just climb right back on! It’s all part of the fun!

Are boards provided?
Yes. If you do not own a board, we will provide one, just let us know in advance.

What if I am not in perfect shape?
Our only prerequisite is that you be able to swim. Paddleboarding is gaining extreme popularity with good reason – it is easy, fun and an incredible workout for gaining core strength! 4 weeks with us – and you will forget that you started in “less than perfect” condition.

What should I bring to class?
A towel, water bottle.

What should I wear?
Plan to get wet.

What if there is inclement weather?
Lighting, thunder or high winds will keep us out of the water, otherwise – we brave the weather. Please check our website or call the store at 239-262-1877 for up to date weather conditions.

What is your refund policy?
There are no refunds.

Are the instructors First Aid and CPR certified?

All instructors are First Aid and CPR certified.
