JULY 5th BEACH CLEAN UP
- Posted on
As another summer holiday approaches and draws large crowds to local beaches, the Old Naples Surf Shop prepares to protect the coastline from the additional waste produced at the beach as a result of the increased visitors during the 4th of July fireworks display with an early morning beach clean up.
The Old Naples Surf Shop has partnered with Keep Collier Beautiful to host our 2nd Annual July 5th Beach Clean Up at 13th Avenue South in Downtown Naples. The Clean Up will take place on Friday, July 5th from 8am to 10am. Volunteers will meet at the beach entrance of 13th Avenue South to collect trash, keeping litter off the beach and out of the Gulf.
Pickers, gloves, and trash bags will be supplied by Keep Collier Beautiful as well as a FREE Coastal Clean Up T-Shirt. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be provided by Bad Ass Coffee and Peace, Love, & Little Donuts.
Volunteers are encouraged to sign up at Old Naples Surf Shop or call the shop at 239-262-1877 before the event. Should any volunteer need a beach parking sticker, temporary passes will be provided at event check in. For more information, please contact Kathleen Robinson at Old Naples Surf Shop.
